A Doll's House with Jessica Chastin

I saw A Doll's House with Jessica Chastin the other night. She is one of my favorite actresses! I love a good classic on Broadway. Even though I read this was an updated modern version it was not what I expected. Why do directors think they need to rewrite classics? I felt the same way about the last version of West Side Story. Ugh!

I sat through this.  I nearly regretted it.

The ending was so needlessly showy.  Sending her onto 45th was just silly.

Chastain is a talent, but it was tough to connect with this production emotionally.  It's just so hyper-minimal.

It wasn't the director of this production who adapted the script.
