I want to purchase a body scrub product, but the number of options is staggering. Anyone have a specific product recommendation?

Much will depend on your body/skin type - oily vs dry skin, etc. For me, I have a licensed aesthetician that I see on a regular basis and I receive product recommendations for both face and body from them. I also purchase products from the bath/body product retailers. You should be able to do a deeper search on your favorite search engine and locate a non-product biased page that can provide you with tips on the ideal body scrub products to purchase.

I find that the sugar scrubs are easier and more pleasant on the skin
