Twitter sensitive material question

I have an iPad Pro and used to be able to see sensitive material on all twitter profiles. In the past couple of weeks I’m no longer able to view posts with sensitive material.  Instead, I get a message asking me to change my privacy settings.  I updated my settings to allow for the viewing of sensitive material but I’m still not able to view sensitive material after changing my settings.   What am I doing wrong?  Has anyone else had this problem?
