Even though I'm retired, I still need to keep up 50 hours of continuing medical education today to keep up my license. I got my 51st hour of the year today to stay on the safe side. Anyway, in today's lecture, I learned of a website which patients can use to help decide what to do when first diagnosed with prostate cancer. I know a lot of users of this forum have asked questions along these lines before. To use this website, of course, you will have to know about your illness, such as the Gleason score, PSA level, etc., so you can get accurate information.  It gives survival data, as well as risks of adverse outcomes, depending on course of treatment chosen.

Thank you for this.  Have a prostate biopsy scheduled for next week.  PSA numbers have been climbing a bit and there's a history in my family, older brother and Dad.  I'll be interested in using this tool once I have the numbers to fill in the blanks.
