I am not Jewish, but I hope that still allows me to wish a Happy Hanukkah to our Hebrew friends here. :* :*

The holiday wish should more accurately be addressed

to "our Jewish friends"

Although inhabitants of ancient Israel/Palestine/Canine who were

of Jewish mothers were referred to as Hebrews, current the more

appropriate usage would be Jewish. Hebrew is a language, both modern

and ancient.

Either way, the sentiment is appropriate and well intentioned.

Whichever holiday you celebrate, or if you merely, as I do,

embrace the concept of a joyous time of the year rooted in a variety

of ancient pagan tradtiions that were adopted by evolving religions

to better market their new and improved product, I wish all of the

posters, readers, lurkers, gentleman callers and trolls and those

that they love a joyous holiday season and a new year filled with

joy, peace and satisfaction.
