I'm getting old now so I can't remember this for sure. Wasn't there a time when women, mostly the smaller-boobed ones, wore sheer blouses or sheer-topped dresses? I can't remember Charo ever wearing one, but she probably never had to.

 

I seem to remember Candice Bergen in STARTING OVER having one on, and even Faye Dunaway in THE TOWERING INFERNO (it was artfully kept from view most of the time).

 

Was there a name for this look? "El Bresto es El Exposo" (as Madame used to say), maybe?
