When I read that sentence about offering support, I took it more generally. Not specifically aimed at LGBT clients, but any potential client. The way it is written could be taken either way, though.

Never actually had a massage. He was a bit flakey and cancelled a couple times. Also he explained that his studio situation was odd as he lived in a coop style place and the privacy sounded limited.

Ash is definitely gay. Or so he told me several years ago when he was doing erotic massage. Now it's strictly therapeutic, and he also does watsu massage in a pool.
