Carmel Quinn superb Irish Singer has died in her 90s

Ms. Quinn was discovered buy Arthur Godfrey in the 1950s. And she first sang Irish songs on his various shows.

 

For over 20 years she performed at Carnegie Hall on St. Patrick's Day, always to sold out audiences.

 

Ms. Quinn toured in musicals set in Ireland, bit also in "The Sound of Music.". She added stories later about playing an Irish Maria.
