A Message from David and Steven....

I have just enough battery power left on my iPhone to send this to

okie to express our most profound gratitude to everyone especially

daddy for his kind post and news bulletin You are all in our hearts

Steven and I are having a great time

Its hard but overwhelmingly fun and exciting the ride is amazing i am

certain we won't ever forget it

Today day 5 red dress day everybody

Wore red dresses ( not steven and I)

Couldn't find the right size LOL it was

Hilarious riding through small towns and seeing the look on peoples

faces as they cheered us on and honked children wrote letters and

gave them to us at the rest areas

Thanking us for the ride there was a dance party at rest stop 2 in a

small town of about 120 population the love and support coming in

from every direction gives us motivation and helps us on our way the

ride tomorrow will go to Ventura through Santa barbara 89 miles

along the coast then on to LA

This ride is kicking our asses but so worth it !!!!

The contingent of riders came through my coastal area on Monday. I could stand outside and watch each rider pass which was an exhilarating experience for me. If this was not such an arduous event for me at my age-- I would participate as a "roadie," but even then one has to have a lot of stamina as well as energy, something that I don't possess currently.

 

In the past I've made donations to this very special event; I just might make one this year but at a little later time.

 

Congratulations to all participants and volunteers of this year's LifeCycle AIDS Ride 2008. :-)
