Rufus Wainwright added a San Diego appearance with special guest Aimee Mann.  I'd have to take a day off work.   I love San Diego.  Seriously considering it.

Several years back, I suffered through him attempting to recreate Judy Garland's Carnegie Hall concert.

Having heard he was still trying to do her catalog, I took a look at his latest video...  It's still garbage.

And he's changing/missing original lyrics. No bueno. Arlen would be pissed.

I have really tried to like him over the years but finally had to admit (to me at least) that there is just something irritating about him.  I am not sure whether it is voice or the way he presents his material but I am not a fan.

I saw Rufus twice : very good at Radio City in New York. Not so good the second time, not sure of the venue.

Yes, Judy/Rufus at Carnegie Hall  is interesting only because I saw Garland at Boston Garden in October 1961 so about five/six months after Carnegie Hall.

Rufus'  Big Mistake, but also Rather brave.

Seems that Judy fans are not pleased by Judy/Rufus.  Hear that.

Still, he is quite a songwriter and a talented pianist.  He has a devoted international  fanbase.
