Any of you use the APEC business card to travel to Russia or China?

I just filled out my renewal application for Global Entry (US). For an extra $70, I applied for an APEC Business Card which seems to give pre-clearance visa-free access to China and Russia, although ostensibly only for business travelers. The last time I went to Russia I got a business visa (though going for tourism). Will China and/or Russia let me through with only the APEC card, or do I have to prove I have a bona fide business deal for my travels?

As long as you're doing regular APEC business that's verifiable, you'll be approved.
