MAL January 17-19

I'm thinking of attending for the first time. Looks like a fun-filled event. Has anyone gone to past leather weekends? Any pointers?

Buy tickets early and get in line early for each event. Otherwise you'll be standing outside in the cold in nothing but a jock.

This will be the first time in about seven or eight years I won't be able to attend. If you aren't staying at the host hotel be prepared to stand outside for a long time. I have a lot more fun there than IML.

 

Unfortunately the host hotel is requiring a three night stay this year so I wasn't able to book right away until I could find out if I could have MLK day off. I tried booking a room once I figured out I could have the day off and the Hyatt was already sold out and it was only a few days after room went up for sale. They always release the room block the Saturday of MAL for the next year so on January 18 I'll be booking my room for 2021.

 

The Green Lantern isn't close to the Hyatt but has a lot of fun events going on during MAL.

My friends at SigMA DC will be offering demonstrations on Saturday from 2 - 4. Having attended SigMA on several occasions, these should be fun and informative.
