NYC: Something afoot?

Have any other New Yorkers noticed an increased police presence on the streets during the last week? Tonight I spotted four policemen standing outside a Chase bank on Fifth and two squad cars with several officers in each vehicle on Union Square. A friend in my building said he noticed a lot of officers on the West Side. Something afoot?

This pertains to last weekend. What I observed was taking place last night (Tuesday, Aug. 15). It's not everyday you see five policeman standing outside an ATM machine.

Just another day! Nice to see the NYC Tax Dollars being put to use.

 

Unfortunately "Groups of Cops" all to often... show up after the fact!

Though this message center is very informative I am not sure if you should be turning to it for Homeland Security updates and information. Call your local precinct or ask the officers at the ATM machine.

If I had asked the question Lanky asked (though I wouldn't have) I think a more appropriate reply would have been:

 

"Thanks Kevin. I appreciate the reply. However, I was looking for information specifically on Aug 15."
