I watch the show Criminal Minds all the time,even just for background noise or to fall asleep. While dark at times and not for everyone, it's an insightful way to understand what makes people tick and snap. It's tv, but the shows directors, writers, and actors have interviewed real FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit agents, so it's fairly realistic. I even think there might have been an episode based off this case if I remember correctly.
