For all of you Star Wars fan, The History Channel is doing a special tonight at 9pm eastern, 8pm central.

There will be guests ranging from Stephen Colbert to Peter Jackson.

Sounds interesting.

Wish I could have been there when it first came out in 1977.

They also will have people like Nancy Pelopsi and Tom Brokaw too. Even Newt Ginrich.

I was there in 1977--I was 16--uhh ohh did I just reveal my age. I had only had my driver's license for about 6 months. I drove to the movies in my 67 Mustang (Note--movies were much cheaper then--a movie, popcorn and Coke did not require you to sell a kidney or mortgage your 1st born to afford them0. I can't remember if I took a date or not--if I did it would have been one of the few of my high school career.

PS Wish I had that car now.

I was 14 and saw Star Wars at the Keith-Albee theater in Huntington, WV. My mom dropped my 4 younger brothers and sisters off while she and a friend went to the mall. I still have the Star Wars promo book from the movie. Later, on the radio on the way home, we heard Elvis had died. :(

They showed Newt Ginrich way too many times during that documentary. I think that he's trying to get the geek vote for a potential presidential run.
