Aside from a brief thread here recently, we haven't had much talk on this site about former porn star and escort Rod Majors who has now re-surfaced as darling of the conservative news media Matt Sanchez. As described on the earlier posting, Matt Sanchez appeared on Fox News Shows complaining about his treatment as a military recruiter on campus at Columbia U. He has since been identified as porn star Rod Majors and a whole wave of gay bloggers, as well as another TV story, this one on MSNBC, followed.

Apparently, after his porn career, Sanchez joined the Marines. A quick search on this web site confirms that he was still escorting in New York as recently as 2001. The archived reviews seem to contain numerous reviews of him -- too bad we can't see them. Does anyone know if we will ever be able to access those older reviews? They are really a treasure trove, as this incident proves.

Ultimately it appears that Sanchez is in it for the publicity. Without being very direct about it, he implies in an interview on a gay blog that he is straight. He also talks about an upcoming book he is writing, and I would guess that is the reason for his current publicity stunt.

For more info, go to http://www.gaypornblog.com/ There are links to other sites there.

It would be interesting to know if anyone still posting here ever hired "Rod Majors, AKA Matt Excellent Top." As I said, you can search the Deli Forum archives and find several mentions from 2001.

I did but I don't remember him having an 11" dick. Actually, I don't remember much of the experience, I guess it was too long ago or it wasn't that memorable.

Max Blumenthal, who posts regularly on HuffingtonPost, went to the CPAC meeting and got some interesting video, not only of Skank Coulter calling Edwards a faggot, but also Sanchez/Majors/MattExcellentTop receiving the Jean Kirkpatrick Education Award. Here's Max with Allison Most on Countdown with Keith Olbermann.

I have a bunch of information and a question. First the question. I am wondering whether "Mateo #2 -- New York City" is the same guy. It lists him as a Coverboy on June 27, 2006 but I don't know how to search through prior Coverboys here. Does anyone know?

Now for my information. Sanchez enlisted as a USMC reversist in May 2003 with a two-year obligation for drilling status (no snickering, okay?) and another six years on Individual Ready Reserve, which is what every military member is once he completes either an active duty or reserve contract. On IRR your only official involvement with the military is to send them your address changes. You can be called up if they want to call you up.

11 days before he was due to complete his USMCR obligation, Sanchez left for medical reasons. All of his posing since then (early summer 2005) as a Marine Corps reservist has been as an IRR marine, which is best described as a civilian. The haircut, the uniforms and the use of his title is play-acting. People don't do that when they're IRR marines, or soldiers, sailors or airmen.

As part of his enlistment in '03 Sanchez was required to provide a complete employment history, including self-employment and periods of unemployment during the seven years prior to enlistment. This is done by means of SF-86, a form. A second enlistment form, DD4/1, warns an enlistee that any false statements or omissions of material fact constitute enlistment fraud, a felony. The military has a history of prosecuting for omissions that, to a civilian eye, seem a lot more trivial than what we're talking about here.

"Rod Majors" seems to have made the porn movies in '93 and '94, which would be prior to that seven-year window. But "Excellent-Top" was advertising as an escort in 2001. The ad, which carried a .wav file of his voice was archived on the Wayback Machine maintained by Archive.org, but yesterday (Thursday, March 15) Sanchez blocked access to it as is permitted by Wayback's policies.

Oddly enough, on about my hundredth try today, I was able to download the ad and the .wav file. This is important, because the .wav file can be voice analyzed and compared to his voice in recent media appearances. It's going to match, and that's going to prove that Sanchez was man-whoring sometime in 2001. If he didn't disclose this employment on his SF-86 (fat chance), then the USMC has a basis to retroactively void his enlistment.

The USMC doesn't have to cite the Don't Ask/Don't Tell regs to do this. There is a general prohibition on enlistment by persons of "questionable moral character," something that would apply to people who were prostitutes regardless of the gender or sexual orientation of their clients. Unless he listed his escorting business on the SF-86, Sanchez is likely in some serious trouble.

Now, it would help if someone can tell me how to search for past Coverboys.

Check out the gaypornblog.com site for another interesting update on this. You can also link to the Marine Corps Times article from this past Tuesday which says that the Marine Corps is currently investigating him. It also says he joined in May 2003 and is a "refrigeraton mechanic." Who knew? Sounds like a lot harder work than turning tricks.

Also you can link to his interview on Alan Colmes radio show. Apparently, someone dug up an escorting ad he placed in the NY Blade as recently as 2003. We know from this site that he was escorting in 2001 (just do a search in this forum).

In a way, I feel sorry for him. He is not anti-gay, although he denies his own gayness...which seems like self-loathing given the ample evidence that for a long time he was clearly a practicing homosexual (well maybe he went beyond practicing). I think he stumbled into this controversy in an attempt to get some publicity. Or maybe he just wanted to be someone important, and thought his "conservative" friends really valued him. But as the previous poster says, he could be in some real trouble with the Marine Corps now. I do not wish that on him.
