I know that this has been discussed before but when I recently responded to a thread about Aaron Mark and used the word wh-re -- what should pop up but XXXX. God damn I hate censorship especially in the cause of political correctness. There are a whole host of words in the English language that might not be acceptable in polite society but to the best of my knowledge the first Amendment still guarantee us all the right of free speech. I know, I know this is a private site and the powers at be have the right to run it anyway they choose. But even with that said and understood I still think it is bullshit. The more we try to censor a word the more strength of meaning we give that word. Wouldn’t it be great if at some point in time we could all come to know exactly who and what we are individually and not allow the names others use to define us to send us into towers of rage. All that accomplishes is to pass control over our lives to others and I will be damned if I will submit to that. I am a 66 year old cock sucking, faggot whoremonger and I am damn proud of it. Why should I be offended if others choose to use those words disparagingly in an attempt to insult me? They find those terms disparaging I DON’T. I can only be offended by these words if I accept others beliefs and opinions regarding them and I certainly DO NOT.

Some men aren't as proud about it as you are. Some men view certain words used in a certain context as a serious insult, a vile negative. Some men are extremely sensitive. Some men don't give a shit about your opinion or your righteous soapbox.

I'm sure the Reason behind the XXX of certain words has more to do with Legality, than Political Correctness?

 

Also I Seriously doubt,"W"like the "N" Word...isn't just plain Derogatory!

 

Most IF not ALL "Working Guy's" (JT's Term of Choice) donot like to be referred to as Ho's...

 

Especially since ALOT of "HO'S Give it away"! LOL IMHO :P

It is my understanding that the softwear used obligates the user to designate at least one word as a no no and the word you used was it.

 

I get around it by spelling it as hoar. Everybody gets the meaning and the software requirement is fucked.
