I certainly hope you are being facetious with that last line of your post otherwise you are going to be in for it around here.

 

In regard to the escort ad quote, unfortunately such an attitude no longer surprises me. More and more I am seeing ads for guys that say "in shape only" in their postings. There's a couple here in DC with such attitudes. Why don't you do us a public service and post the guys'link here?

 

That's fine if he wants to attract only a certain type of client but it’s flat out arrogant IMO. However, there are plenty of clients out there who get off being insulted and ripped off. (If there weren't such people Cole Ramsey would have no business.)

 

I have had escorts quote me a rate and then add "plus tip" to that. Huh? Such a practice might be one way of garnering more $$$ but is sure is distasteful to this clinet. When I have to start submitting an application to be considred if I am worthy to hire an escort, I will have to quit hiring all together.

Apparently, there is a market to serve those suffering from serious low self-esteem. Gay men aren't the only folks who indulge in this aphrodisiac.

 

So, if a service provider wishes to market himself in this manner, so be it. For some, like me, it will be a complete and utter turn-off, while for others, it will be the juice that fuels the rod. To each his own.

 

Since role-playing is very much a part of this job, it's nearly impossible to tell what a guy is really like beyond his limited (or not so limited) scope of advertising acumen.

 

Sometimes, outrageous gets attention and in advertising, it's all about getting noticed.

And give him free publicity? What's more, what if someone here sees him, thinks he's hot and decides he like the 'tude and hires him, only to find out he really is a dick. I'd feel guilty. (Not to mention bitter that he didn't hire me! LOL)

The word that comes to mind is 'chutzpah.' Agreed unless you're only paying the guy $80. Otherwise, most of us get paid pretty damn nicely. I don't ever expect a tip, but most clients seem to throw in an extra $20 or more. Again, not required, always a nice suprise.
