I agree -- it would have been much improved if he had opened his robe and, until the very end, I fully expected him to. (I wonder what he was wearing under there?)

There is a quick scene with him walking over to a chair and sitting down with his legs open for just a moment as he smirks and says, "Go ahead, ask me anyhing...I'm not shy."

 

Unfortunately, his crotch is obscured by some well placed video fuzziness.
