  1. Question for you gentlemen: if you hire a masseur via something like Rent Masseur, what kind of % would you normally tip them for (let's assume) satisfactory/good experience? I have been to spas & tipped super well, e.g., 50+%, but wonder if it's same/different. Your thoughts appreciated...feel free to DM me if that's better. TIA.

  2. Ok, so just sharing this -- bad experience. 27 men's spa. I just wanted a massage and had an OK one there a couple of weeks prior. The person on the phone said, 'we have a special, body scrub plus massage for 90 mins, $105." I said ok. When I got there, I got "Johny" -- skinny white guy. Boring body scrub, massage so bad I was about to punt on it about half way in. I held on, but towards the ends (HE) it was borderline painful. I did NOT enjoy this. IMO, "Johny" = avoid.

  3. Gents, what's the latest on getting a good pedicure in Manhattan? There was a little bit of chatter on this topic in this threat in Feb/March 2019; Living Fresh had one recommendation and I think that was it. Any more recent recommendations (recognizing no one may have been to these places in months, some places may not have survived, etc.)?

Just got a pedicure at living fresh, she did an excellent job.

  4. I saw that too. One of the signs read “Prostitution”. Couldve been due to a simple HE, who knows. But of all these spas, I’m genuinely surprised The One got stung—my experiences there have all been the most G-rated of any of them with no hint of “activity”.

At any rate it sucks for everybody because now it puts all the mfm spas on G-rated notice for a while (I would think). It reminds me of the time when the old Hero got shut down at one point; a simple HE at other spas was hard to come by for a few months.

Passed by there today -- yes, the sign says closed for prostitution. Agree it seems weird, I've had many massages there and never any funny business. Also -- they had a fantastic facialist there that I still see (no longer works there.)

  5. Went to energy mens spa on 23rd. Has anyone else had the experience where the masseur towards the end asked if you will pay more? I didn't but wondered what that might include.. pm please with any input.

  6. Question for you guys: in a spa feel like I have to tip big, ie, 50%+ of the massage price. If I hire someone on something like Rentmen -- do I need to tip, given they get all the money? Or assuming I should tip, what's the right amount"

  7. RE: Sabir -- Myster Solved (I think)

Several days ago I posted about my massage at Super Men's Spa with "Sabir" and gave him a big thumbs up. Several people have messaged me to say they called Super Men's and they said there was no Sabir there. This really puzzled me because I had to ask him repeatedly what his name was bc. I couldn't understand -- so I know that's what he told me. At any rate went back to SMS today, described "Sabir" to the guy behind the desk, and lo and behold he appears. I asked him his name and he says "Liam."

So mystery solved, "Sabir" = Liam (unless he changes it again...) Still thumbs up, BTW!

  8. I definitely agree with EVdude about Victor at Utopia. (I don't know the other two.) Victor is a good masseur, and will expand the envelope. He's about 6.2, 190. In his 30s. Nice guy, too.

Hey there, what mean by expanding the envelope? DM me with details? Thanks.
