Its been eight months since I’ve had some companionship here in the PNW. Its not just the virus that has triggered this absence of acquired love, but major personal life changes too, like losing a job; starting a new one and making it my priority; fall out with previous room mate; moving into a shared house with little to no privacy and then there is the pandemic. I tried going back on the apps especially the web based one called Sniffies, it has the prickle nature of hookups, everyone is just beating around the bush and flashing their pricks and holes. Even before the virus struck, hookup apps kind of became a dead end for me in finding easy partners. In some ways, I committed to myself to every now and then, find a partner on RM to scratch that itch. I wasn’t expecting to do this as a regular thing like I did in the past; and porn would make up for some of it. But I have to say, after 8 months, even RM has not really lived up to expectation. Yes, there are guys on RM in Seattle; some of them suspect, since their profiles appear to be in multiple locatiions at the same time. Its that I can’t make desireable connection with the guys I’m seeing. At the end of the day, this boils down to lust. In truth, there is no lust for any of the guys advertising here in Seattle. When I take a look at other areas such as NY, SF, LA, FL, Chicago, or outside the US, (really some great ones in Toronto and Montreal) there is such an abundance of the guys I lust for. Which makes me wonder, some of these states and cities have a high infection rate, yet the guys seem to stay put and keep advertising. So, the question I have to ask is, what has happened to Seattle, why aren’t quality guys visiting? And I have noticed for quite some time even before the pandemic, the most desireable guys never made much effort to visit either. When I moved here in 2018, there certainly was an abundance, but I didn’t have a clue how to initiate this, the fear of it and some shame too. So, I did miss out on a golden era it seems. My long term plan is to do a two week vacation in NY hopefully summer 2021. Hopefully by then we will have a vaccine. Its gonna be expensive, but its not like I’m planning to make this a regular thing anyway. Of course, I might be too picky, but when you are parting with funds, I think you have all right to be. Thoughts?
