  1. That’s not a bad idea, but the schlep back to NYC would negate a lot of the relaxation (we live in the Bronx)
  2. It’s a high end luxury spa with locations in select global cities. I heard about it a few years ago because my fancy celeb ex-boss had me make a booking for sister and her
  3. My husband and I have our 5 year wedding anniversary (13th year together) in October and I’m considering splurging on a spa day. I’m thinking of going all out and indulging in a day at Aire Ancient Baths - does anyone have any experience with that place or any other suggestions? I wouldn’t mind going to utopia for a massage and scrub but he needs a genuine therapeutic massage and we don’t need to be in the same room during the massage.
  4. Does he have a paw print tattoo on his shoulder?
  5. TBH I only went to a spa because my regular masseur was out of town. My primary goal when paying for a massage is bodywork, sensuality is secondary, and HE is purely a bonus. My regular guy who comes home is far more affordable and adaptable to our requirements - I usually pay around $120-140 for 2x90min sessions for my husband and me - but this is a friends rate since I’ve known him for 3 years now His technique is good and deep (he was a student of a reputable institution)
  6. I’ll chalk it up to a first visit experience then - don’t doubt you guys at all
  7. To add I have been for many massages around the world and always have zero expectations for a HE - the only expectations I have are for good body work. In this instance I made it clear there was work I needed on my legs because I carry a lot of tension in my thighs given my work. My experience wasn’t bad - it was okay. I’ll definitely go back and be even more vocal about what I want - I prefer to do the table shower after the massage since my logic for doing it after was that it would be better to get the oil off.
  8. Yeah I even asked for work on the front of my legs since they’re sore but no dice.... maybe there was a mixed communication. I am not gonna complain as the table shower was more thorough and I left feeling relaxed - he was a nice guy too.
  9. Went to Utopia today for my first NYC spa experience (I usually have a masseur who comes home) - had Alex. The massage was okay.... didn’t even ask me to flip or work on my front at all. The table shower was much better and thorough. I also feel like it was shorter than it was supposed to be.
