  1. I've been back living in Michigan for almost two years now. I just finally ventured back to Club Gold Coast on Thursday and Friday nights. I hadn't been in 2-3 years. The dancer quality was dreadful. Not a single hot masculine guy dancing on either night.

Thursday had around 10 dancers. All of them were white guys with the exception of one black and one Hispanic guy. All were somewhat or very effeminate. Not my cup of tea at all. Only one of them had a fairly tight worked out body. Kind of an Adam Rippon look. Very few patrons....maybe 10 paying customers. I left before midnight. There was no point in my staying there as there was no-one I was remotely interested in for a lapdance.

I decided to return on Friday night to see if a weekend night would be any better. It was actually worse. Fewer dancers. Only about 6 guys dancing. Five of them were repeats from Thursday plus one different guy. The club was fairly busy when I arrived around 9:30pm. There was a group of 20-25 people (male & female) there that were part of a "party bus". They stayed for about 40 minutes and then left to move onto the next bar on their schedule I guess. That thinned the ranks at the club. It stayed busier than on Thursday....but still nothing like it used to be. I was gone by 11:30pm.

I've been an off and on patron of Club Gold Coast for more than 30 years. Whilst it was never close to Montreal/Miami/Atlanta in overall dancer quality, you could always count on there being at least 2-3 hot studs dancing there that were worth taking a private dance with....especially on the weekend. Not any more.

I seriously doubt this is a viable business as it currently stands. I hope someone steps in to shake things up and improve the dancer quality substantially. Otherwise, I doubt they can last till 2019.

I was just thinking of that place lately and saw this write up, thought I would chime-in. I started going there back in the winter of 2016, usually on Saturdays, but sometimes Friday and Saturday. It was a fun place to go, I hate the area and worry my car would get broken into (it did get backed into while in the valet parking). Hated driving around there too, but it used to be full of people, both young and old and there were probably 10+ dancers, most pretty good looking. I got to know a lot of them by name. Never liked the lady DJ, she would never play any requests and played nothing special, basically the same stuff that was on the local radio. This was not the place to go dancing- for that I would goto Necto in Ann Arbor, but GC was the place to talk to guys, watch the dancers and get a few dances in the back. I was always concerned it was a firetrap back there, no other exit and it was not always clean, who ever they used for maintenance fixed those things pretty roughly, in the back always had the carpet coming off the walls, half the lights did not work, don't know what was going on with the wiring outside in the smoking area, but it was fun times! Then, the cute dancers started to disappear and there were fewer of them, the bar counter games that were fun to play (and others would sit around and talk while I played) disappeared, the video game also disappeared, they managed to keep the one pool table though. The AC and heat would occasionally break down but that didn't bother me too much. The last time I went back they moved the private dance rooms to the front bar area and opened up the SIN side with couches and its really dark, the place was deserted compared to a year ago. The normal managers were not there, I saw two of the original staff from years ago, even the bartenders are different. I heard they had private nights that were EVP only but all the $$$ and time I spent there, including the many dancers I knew, I was never invited. Its too bad, Gold Coast could have been a really cool place but instead just fell apart, I have not been back there this year.
