So, let's say someone's on a long bus/train/plane trip or is similarly "stuck" in one place without much to do, and all they have is their phone - and they want to watch a movie to pass the time. You really want to outlaw that? Why?
-
Same here. If I were going to hire for a weekend, I'd have to already know the guy pretty well.
-
Yes!! That was a very very intense and also disturbing series, and Ruffalo was brilliant - I wish it had gotten more attention.
-
And then came VHS tapes, and DVD's and Blu-Ray, and digital computer files. Times have changed. Perhaps many of us would agree that seeing films on "the big screen" is still a great experience, but by far it's not the only valid choice anymore. In fact, when I was a kid, in the 1970's, way before all that technology, we had friends whose dad was a huge movie buff and who had his own reel film projector - he had access to reels we could watch in their basement recroom. I remember seeing films like Citizen Kane and Blazing Saddles for the first time in that room, in their home. It worked for me!!

I wouldn't necessarily say that. I think there are a lot of people who really don't want to go to movie theatres quite yet - either for fear of catching the virus even under the safer conditions, or because they don't like the atmosphere of the social distancing, etc. I have a movie theatre a short walk away from my apartment. I haven't really been able to go recently because I've been too swamped with work, but I will be looking forward to going back once the semester is finally over. I'm also getting my 2nd shot in another week, which will make a difference too.

Of course, it's common for people not to want to think about their parents having sex, lol. (Likewise, I assume most parents really don't want to think about their kids doing it either...)

Viola, as Ma Rainey, was wonderful and riveting as always (IMO). Though for me, when I think of her, I always go back to this bravura monologue from King Hedley II - which in watching it again now, seems more timely than ever.
-
We'd need a "statue of limitations" to do that. ?
-
That's a great idea. I belong to several other sites that have "emergency" sites on Discord so people can check in. Perhaps something like that?

We're on a new server now, thanks to @Orin and @RadioRob. https://www.companyofmen.org/threads/read-me-message-forum-moved-to-new-server.164510/

Adding my thanks! I had tried to log in to the site a few hours ago and it was down, but so excited to see it up and running again, and so appreciative of all of your work to move to a new server.

Yup - totally incompetent. Especially when your "best actor" winner is absent. "Not with a bang but a whimper." I'll also agree with William - I was very surprised that Boseman didn't win. Obviously he wasn't at the ceremony either, but his win would have been a much more moving way to end the night.
-
I can barely say that I watched the ceremony. I had it on, to the bitter (and terribly miscalculated) ending, but it couldn't hold my attention. Regina King set the tone with her rambling and self-consciously "witty" (?) repartee, and it just droned on from there. I want my evening back... (I won't say there weren't highlights that did get my attention, but they were few and far between. I'd say that Glenn Close was the unexpected winner of the broadcast, even though she didn't win the award.)

What's the very worst musical you ever saw?

I assume Martin was more honest about her needs. Stritch was too proud to admit she needed the help. -

The problem, as I understand it, is that she went up on lines/lyrics often during previews, and perhaps even beyond opening. She would often punctuate such moments by telling the audience how tired she was. This goes along with the stories of Elaine Stritch during the revival of A Little Night Music, often going up on lines and breaking character to shout offstage for the line. I can't remember if she completely refused an earpiece (to get prompted) or if they finally convinced her to do that. -
So, is he just dreaming up this velcro/PNP thing??
-
This guy is RM's "Rent man of the day" for today (4/21/21). https://rentmen.eu/Aaron_Santos/#rmotd My question is - what the hell is the association between velcro and PNP? "...and desired garment fetishisms of your own are welcomed including special garment fetishes like Velcro which may require PNP. Nude is also ok but no PNP...(Party friendly only via garment fetish with Velcro)"

My iPhone 7+ is starting to feel just a little worn down (I've had it for about 3 1/2 years), and I'm contemplating going for it and getting the new iPhone 12 Pro Max, despite the cost. I've been warned that it's the biggest one yet, but I don't think I'll mind that. In fact, I will probably like that. But I will miss the home button. The 7+ has a "fake" home button (it works, but the feel of it is more of a simulation), but I'm sure it will take some time getting used to not having one at all. But I know after a while it'll feel fine. I still lament the loss of the headphone jack, though, lol. I got my first phone (a Blackberry) back in 2010. I had wanted one, but just wasn't ready to make the jump yet. I was afraid I would be attached to it all the time, lol. Well, that came true. I can't imagine not having a smartphone now. Funny how things change...;-)

There was a site called Dorm Spunk? Sorry I missed that one... ?

Am I the only man here who likes to say the man's name when he's getting off?

Best comment yet! :-) -
Very relieved to know. Hoping all just gets better from here.

Yes. Names can be sexy. Some names may in fact have sexy "feels" or associations for us. Unicorn mentioned the name "Kevin" which for some reason I have always found very hot. :-) But yeah, especially if I sense that a guy likes hearing his name, I enjoy saying it. Or, as some guys have mentioned, if there's a preferred nickname. -
Yup. I assumed that the site was down for good. I'm so glad that wasn't the case.

Hugh Jackman to Star in ‘Music Man’ on Broadway

He wouldn't be a draw anymore anyway. Very few people not of our age would know who he is. :-) -

It seems to me that Rudin is out, or on his way out, or will be very discouraged to have any sort of tangential participation. From what I understand, Jackman and Foster are still involved.
