I've had so many memorable ones, for good and bad reasons, that I needed to think about this for a few days before I responded. At first, I thought it might be the first time a therapist I had seen frequently was comfortable enough with me to take the massage to a different level. But after thinking about it, without a doubt, it was this one: I used to travel to the West Coast for work a lot. Before one of the trips in 2011, I was looking through ads and saw one in the LA area that caught my eye. I don't remember if it was in massagem4m or masseurfinder, but it was in the therapeutic section, and he was very explicit that his massage was strictly therapeutic. This was a little over a year after my first massage from a man, so I will still looking more for a "therapeutic with the possibility of sensual elements" than the "explicit guarantee of an erotic" massage experience. We exchanged a couple of emails and planned on a two-hour appointment my last evening in the area. When I got to his place that evening, he was wearing a tight white tank top and greeted me with a huge smile. We hit it off instantly, and I felt comfortable with him from the second he laid his hands on me. I usually like to lie there and enjoy, but we chatted during most of the massage. Yet, I was completely relaxed. His hands were magic, and he paid attention to the little things and pointed out things he noticed about my body that no therapist had ever taken the time to mention. As the massage drew to a close, his touch became more sensual. It wasn't anything outright erotic, but it was enough to arouse me. He took off his tank and shorts, and I could see he was aroused too. He had a beautiful musclecub body that was covered in fur, and we enjoyed a fun post-session interactive session together. I had arrived at his place at 9 p.m. and didn't leave until well after 1 a.m. During subsequent trips to his area over the next year-and-a-half, I always made sure that I scheduled a session with him. Most of them turned out like the first one with a variation here or there. Maybe he would take off his shirt earlier in the massage, or he would rub against me at some point in the session and things would turn to fun. He did always give me the full massage time, though. That first one was still the most memorable, mainly because of the way things evolved and my instant comfort with him.

I discovered the site during a trip to London in 2016. It's UK-focused, and some masseurs are a little more "open" on it than on masseurfinder. The more sources of info, the better, but nothing beats this message-forum.

I was interested in hiring Mark (SoTe), but the conversation I had with him online turned me off. I decided to contact him through Adam4Adam a week before my trip to Chicago in March so that we could chat instead of exchanging emails. I waited until I knew exactly what my availability was before asking for specifics. He mentioned that he was in Oak Park and could not host but he could drive to my hotel in River North. I asked him how much it would be, and he said: "160 therapeutic massage That includes travel & parking fee If you want something more sensual or erotic that's more" When I asked him if the 160 rate was for one hour, this was his reply: "I find guys want and trained talented therapist who understands the body AND can make you feel amazing and satisfied. I apologized for wasting his time. Seeing the comments from @Jacque, @Capitano, and @JBrian72 confirms that I made the right decision. There are too many really good therapists in Chicago (see my post #54 in this thread) to pay rates like that to someone who thinks he is the only one.

I want to thank all of the contributors to this thread. I now realize that what I had considered my "bad" massage experiences (a HE that hurt, a "therapist" who didn't know what he was doing, etc.) were not that bad at all!

If a nude masseur is important to you, you might consider trying one thing that I used to do. In a pre-massage email after the initial contact, I would say something like "I understand if you are more comfortable discussing this after we meet, but I prefer mutual nudity during massages," and then explain that it was because I liked body-to-body contact and not because I was looking for a sexual experience. You can generally figure out from his response what his attitude about nudity might be. If he says "We can discuss it after we meet" or "It depends on the client," he's probably comfortable with the idea. That doesn't necessarily mean that he will be nude throughout, but he will probably get naked at some point if he feels comfortable with you. Some replied by saying that they don't work nude, and others ignored the question. Even a few of those ended up getting nude at some point during the massage, and I found that those experiences were among the most exciting ones I had. I stopped asking that question a couple of years ago because I found the surprise more exciting than going into the massage expecting it.

Yes, for all of the reasons that everyone else who has contributed to this thread has given, plus one: I love the body-to-body contact. I don't mean the sexually-arousing brushes of a certain body part that have been mentioned, and certainly are exciting. I mean feeling this bare thigh (the part closer to his hip that's usually covered by a pair of shorts) pressed against me when leans in to massage my back. I mean feeling his butt pressed against my torso when I am face down and he sits on the table and massages my arm. These were the two sensations that I remember the most vividly when a therapist I had been going to for a few years worked nude for the first time.

I got a massage from him during a visit to Las Vegas in 2012. I think I found his ad on Adam4Adam, but I don't remember for sure. He lived in a gated community a bit off the strip and offered to pick me up at my hotel. He was a nice guy, gave a great massage, and was 100% professional. The pictures with his shirt on are, as I recall, the same ones I saw in 2012, but he looked exactly like them then. He didn't have any shirtless pics that I remember at that time, and it looks like he has a private gallery on RM now. I don't know if he offers more than a professional massage; I don't think I asked for more than that, and it's exactly what I got.

During a recent trip to London, I had scheduled a massage for my last afternoon there with an excellent masseur I had visited on a prior trip. He came through. He is centrally located near the Lancaster Gate tube station. After writing all of this and reflecting on the massages, I would happily see any of these guys again. Chicago presents a challenge: so many great experiences, and so many others that I would like to try. If only every city I visited had the same "problem"!
