I'm sure exceptions happen and nowadays there's some Grindr fatigue because of so many flakes, "bots", and endless messaging/drama but based on what escorts tell me most of the guys who hire them look for someone they wouldn't have the "cojones" approach at a bar. I'm also aware that the concept of young and handsome could be different and we all have a type others don't like so much. @caramelsub in conservative towns folks fuck like crazy, sometimes that's the only thing to do to kill time, unfortunately as you insinuated there's a lot of gossip.
