I also much prefer a nice hotel. Unrelated to this hobby, I’ve had friends whose travel has been disrupted bc airBnB hosts fuck up the resy, wasn’t available for problems or totally misrepresent the home. Hotels r much easier all round.
If you are new, I’d start with someone who is more chill than that guy you posted. His copy reads pretty demanding and unfriendly. Don’t add the stress to your first experiences and go with a friendly pro who is not so demanding.

I reached out and finally gave up because he's someone who only responds in 1-3 word phrases and doesn't answer any direct questions about what to expect. And wants $400 on top of that! Huge risk, imo. I finally gave up.
