I'm a provider based in Europe and just updated my payment methods on RM because my debit card expired. I successfully paid for 6 months of Gold Membership, but now, for the first time since i've been using RM (over 3 years) I've been told that I need to make a 'payment verification' and provide a photo of my passport, Payment card, and a written piece of paper with a date and confirmation that "I [government name] have made this payment on [date]???
I'm really not particularly comfortable having to provide that info, especially as I know I've already provided one form of ID to verify that I'm the guy in the ad. I just wondered if this is something being asked of everyone now, even clients too? Perhaps I'm overthinking when I've already provided enough sensitive info to them already, but I just don't feel comfortable having to provide more and more, given the way the use of data, ai, face recognition etc is going...
Or should I just be a big boy and give them all my data so I can be "Rent Man of the Day" for idk, $300 or whatnot.
