    I’m striking out lately.
Just had Sebastian and it was just okay. The massage skills weren’t that great tbh. I went in thinking it was going to be amazing based on reviews here, but I’ve had so many incredible massages that this one was kind of lackluster. Plus he had a hangnail that I kept feeling scrape along my back lol.

Was just with Sebastian. No hangnail fortunately but I have to agree that the massage wasn't that great, sort of like a "squeeze and jump" all around the body. I wondered if he learned this technique as a baker and then thought "do bakers actually kneed bread this way?"

Good news is that the session finished on a high note. DM for details.

Recently visited NYC for a bit and went to a handful of different spas and tried different masseurs and wanted to share my experiences with folks. Want to note I had extras and left happy after each encounter, but quality of the experience significantly varied.

    27 Men Spa

Overall, I think this was my favorite place. It’s a very clean space that has the right ambiance. It feels the most relaxing out of the three that I’ve been to in nyc.

Max: massage was decent, and extras were nice. Didn’t ask for more tip, which made me inclined to tip him well at the end (I did 60% tip). Definitely more on the sensual side of massages, but didn’t rush into it which I appreciated. Red Bull can.

Sebastian: gave a really strong massage and incorporated good sensual elements all throughout. Favorite extra out of all the masseurs I’ve tried from nyc spas, and he was kind about it. Didn’t ask for more tips, but at the end he used a translator to say that he hoped for a generous tip (80% tip).

    Chelsea Men’s Spa

I’m quite disappointed in the service I’ve gotten here. I don’t think it’s worth the money and the massages were more like light touches than actual massages. Table shower facilities were clean, and the massage rooms were clean, but preferred 27 Men’s Spa’s facilities much more.

Kevin: Did the table shower and massage and 2 mins into the table shower he immediately started doing some sensual elements, which I prefer a build-up rather than going straight into it. Scrubbed my back and then I flipped over and he used regular soap. Asked me to stand up and proceeded with some sensual elements. Went back to the massage room and proceeded with a mild massage. He spent the last 10 mins just smacking my foot repetitively which was odd. Wasn’t a fan to be honest, also was rather aggressive about asking for tips (asked for 120% tip for extras). Not my favorite.

Daniel: better than Kevin and also had a similar flow with the table shower and massage, but had a much lighter massage. It felt like he was just floating with his fingers and also just seem so disinvested. Was a very cold experience, not a fan either.

    HUSH

Facilities were the worst compared to the other two. Dark, grungy, and you can hear the staff talking through the walls which made it difficult to fully be immersed. They also used a YouTube video with ads for the background music, which was distracting to have the masseur skip ads every time the video finished. Walls were also quite thin so I was able to hear Kpop from the next-door neighbors.

Omar: kind and polite, and was the only masseur to ask me where my problem areas were. Massage was good, and added some sensual elements towards the end. Politely asked if I was interested in extras without asking for more tips, which I appreciated.

Feel free to DM me for more details if folks are interested, happy to share, or if folks want to exchange stories too I'm happy to do so :)

Similar experience at Chelesa Men Spa. Daniel basically stops the massage 10 minutes in to discuss the tip.

I tell him that I'm always fair, and I'm a regular at CMS, but he pushes and wants to know the amount. I feel like telling him that it was going to be 60 (100%), but it just dropped to 20 because I'm not happy about negotiating. Instead I tell him that I'm not talking about it and to just finish the massage.

    Never again.

Does anyone have any good upper east side recommendations?

Epic Men's on Lexington, but nothing else above 62nd Street.

It's been a few months, but Andy is one of the best.

if there is an arrow pointing down, it means the masseur named on that line for that particular day, will be scheduled to work a HK men spa.

if there is an arrow pointing up, it means the masseur, for that particular day, will be scheduled to work a 27 men spa.

This is necessary because some masseurs mostly work in one location for that week, but will staff the other location for 1 or maybe 2 days, and so a symbol on these masseur's line + day is necessary to make sure you don't turn up at HK men spa on Wednesday expecting to see Felipe there, and hear that he is actually at 27 men spa, on the other side of Manhattan.

I figured as much, but it doesn't explain Ben's blank line that appears on both 27 and HK without any clue of the days.

Overall not that important to figure out. I am grateful for their effort to let us know who is there.

I would strongly suggest Ivan or Norik at New Paradise. Both good looking white dudes with strong hands and attention to detail. Enjoy!

Is this the Norik who used to work at Top Men?

  6. Utopia closing forced me out of the neighborhood and into Chelsea.

Both Chelsea Men Spa on 29th and 24 Chelsea are worth a visit. Both clean spaces and very good masseur options.

one down-side is that 24 Chelsea doesn't always answer the phone and on one occasion didn't open according to their posted schedule.

  7. Top Men arrived on the scene less than a year ago. At a time that I wasn't looking for a new location, satisfied with what I was used to. But they raised the bar and I find myself annoyed that they are gone and annoyed by the other places and their (choose one or more):

    - lack of cleanliness - TM was spotless

    - demeanor - Lin was great at the front desk,

    - provider options - not totally disappointed in other providers, but the 4 I had at Top Men were all memorable

    Maybe I'm just grouchy today.
