    Mykonos

Thank you Benjamin. One question. What is in your opinion the best area to stay in? I have never been there, but some of the hotels are in what I assume in the town area while others are a little further out in certain beach areas. How do you get around the island? I don’t drive and I not taking up bike riding. Are taxi cabs readily available?

    Mykonos

I am considering Mykonos as a possible holiday destination. Has anyone been there recently? Advice on “the scene”, hotels welcome. What is the best area to stay?
  9. To put it another way you don’t judge a book by its cover.
  10. I read your post on the other thread. Very depressing.
  11. Cute with a capital “C”.
  12. I’m back in London in just over a week so any further recommendations welcome.
  13. On Thursday I attended the opening night of the Royal Opera’s new production of Lohengrin. I have seen the opera twice before in an ultra traditional Opera Australia production dripping with medieval mysticism. Rather predictably this David Alden production was updated to about I would guess the 1930’s in a European country probably Germany. Although I am an unashamed reactionary when it comes to opera production I would have to admit the production had a dramatic cogency. Reading the reviews it has divided the critics. The heroes of the evening were the conductor Andris Nelsons and the magnificent orchestra and chorus. Hearing that band and chorus in full flight was a thrilling experience. Of the singers the women won the night. Christine Goerke was superb as Ortrud and the young Jennifer Davis excellent as Elsa. She was to be the understudy to Kristine Opalias (the estranged wife of the conductor) but Opalias cancelled early in the proceedings (I wonder why? (sic) ). Klaus Florian Vogt as Lohengrin was sweet voiced but not exactly thrilling but dramatically very plausible. He certainly has the physique du role. All in all an entertaining and thoughtful night at the opera.
  14. I endorse the review of David of joyoftouch. I engaged him yesterday. Excellent masseur, cute as a button and a HE.
  15. I think my Pavlovian reaction to this lad was a little impetuous.
  16. Today’s cover boy. What is there to say but WOW! One of nature’s masterpieces.
  17. Anyone been to Mykonos lately?
  18. The one review on Rentmen by DominateDude is bizarre and contradictory.
  19. Comments, recommendations anyone?
  20. I agree Adam looks great but he does say what he is into. 200 pounds an hour is expensive.
  21. I have it on excellent authority that Herr Kaufmann will sing the lead in a semi staged performance of “Andrea Chenier” in Sydney next year. Sydney is still recovering (in the best sense of the word) from his Parsifal last year. Let’s hope my “authority” on Chenier is right!
  22. This whets the appetite for Ms Netrebko’s Aida at the Met later in the year. Lucky New Yorkers!

    Craigslist

There is no content this morning on Craigslist for gay massage or escorts in Sydney or London. Could be just an aberration or is it going the way of Backpage?

    Villa Gianni

Good question. I am on London on 1 June. I have never been to Villa Gianni before and might pay it a visit on this trip.
  25. Any recommendations for London based on experience ? Thank you.
