Who was it that kept saying about Dan Rather "Stick a fork in him, he's done!"?

Oh yeah, moi.

Dan Rather Stepping Down

NEW YORK, Nov. 23, 2004

(CBS) Dan Rather announced Tuesday that he will step down as anchor and managing editor of the CBS Evening News in March, 24 years after his first broadcast in that position.

No matter how many times it happens (and it happens constantly), I never get tired of being right.

Who's next to have a fork stuck in him? Kofi Annan.

Fin Fang, one of the things I LOVE about Conservatives is the way you all dance about for hours over your little victories, yet seem to not recall anything whatsoever about your big, fat, huge mistakes, such as getting involved in Iraq.

The more I come to understand politics as nothing more than grand illusion, the more I appreciate the Republican Party. I may just join it, if for nothing more than the truly surreal experience it offers.

Let me see........

Freed millions of people from a homocidal dictator (and his equally wacko sons).

Bringing democracy to an Arab country.

Killed thousands of terrorists.

Eliminated the possibilty of said homocidal dictator (and his equally wacko sons) from every possessing and using WMD.

Got rid of the rape rooms.

Got rid of the torture rooms.

Yeah, all of that sounds like a big mistake to me and I'm sure the Iraqis wish it were just like it was.

Skeptically yours,
