Here's a question when you are next bothered by a Seventh Day Adventist. What place has the highest proportion of Seventh Day Adventists in the world and the highest conviction rate for rape?

The answer is Pitcairn Island of "Muteny on the Bounty" fame. Around 75% of the islanders are Seventh Day Adventists and 6 out of the total current population of 47 have just been convicted of raping young girls.

Well, it's not just the Seventh Day Adventists on some remote foreign island. Here in Utah (and other states such as Arizona, Texas, and Ohio) it is common for the men in polygamist communities to take "brides" or multiple wives as young as 12 and 13 years old.

A couple years ago Tom Greene (about 45 years old) was convicted of raping his second wife (13 years old at the time). The "wife" and Greene both claimed it wasn't illegal since they both were consenting. The state thought otherwise.
