Here's something to think about...........

A few months ago, John Kerry was skiing or snowboarding or whatever he was doing on the snow and he fell. Nothing very special, right? We've all done that. Big deal.

When the press asked him about falling, he replied: "I didn't fall down, that sonofabitch knocked me down."

And who was that "sonofabitch"? The very man (a Secret Service agent) who has pledged to sacrifice his own life to spare Kerry's life.

Classy.

Real classy.

Respectfully yours,

I wonder what press reported this? A presidential candidate calling a secret service agent a "sonofabitch"? This would have been front and center in all news stories. Is this based on fact verified by others or is there perhaps an organization called "Ski-bums for Truth"?x(

RE: John Kerry and "That Sonofabitch"

It was front and center in the major media for about a week. Kerry took a lot of guff for it, never acknowledged that he was wrong ("I don´t fall down" when it was clear he did, and that every other skier in the history of the world has fallen down), and never apologized to the agent.

>Almost as classy as the Vice President of the United States

>telling a Senator to go fuck himself. That is the TRUE

>definition of class.

There's no way for me to prove it, but I bet:

1. You can't give me the name of the Senator without looking it up.

2. You don't have the slightest idea why Cheney told him, quite rightfully, to go fuck himself.

3. Where the VP told him this and when.

Also, in case you don't know, Senators have not taken an oath to take a bullet for the VP. So, your comparison is lame.

Snarkily yours,

You're right - I don't know his name (and why is his name important?)

>2. You don't have the slightest idea why Cheney told him,

>quite rightfully, to go fuck himself.

Regardless of the reason or circumstances, such a retort from the VP is completly uncalled for. If he had reason enough to say it, he should have couched his displeasure in different words.

>3. Where the VP told him this and when.

And why would this be relevant?

>Also, in case you don't know, Senators have not taken an oath

That fact does not enter into the discussion at all. It is completly irrelevant. VPs should not speak that way to Senators - never - period!

It shows that you're willing to use a flame-thrower without knowing even knowing who all the characters are.

Oh, puh-leez! MOMMIE! Dick's using dirty words again!!!!!!!!

Further proves you know nothing about the circumstances. But you have no problem climbing up on your high horse about it.

It's COMPLETELY relevant because you inferred that one politician telling another politician to go fuck himself was worse than calling someone who is putting his life on the line for you a sonofabitch.

>VPs should not speak that way to

snore

The facts are that VP Cheney was sick and tired of Sen. Patrick Leahy constantly saying vile and nasty things about him and them acting all nicey nice when running into him in person.

I'm not surprised a liberal would think criticism of hypocrisy is beyond the pale since so many liberals are hypocrites.

Forever yours,

You would have lost that bet. This is just another example of Republican hypocrisy at work.

Consider: Here in Atlanta, we have a talk show host by the name of Kim Peterson (aka the Kimmer). When John Kerry got caught using the f-word when he thought the mic was off, Kimmer gave him the name John F-ing Kerry. However, once Cheney says the f-word to Leahy, no more John F-ing Kerry and CERTAINLY no Dick F-ing Cheney.

I know why Cheney said it, and I can even understand why he was pissed off at him, but the most powerful man in the free wordl should know better. Compassionate Conservatism indeed.

Well, I have VERY delicate sensibilities and hearing the word "fuck" offends me greatly - unless I am using it - then it's AOK!

I inferred no such thing. It's your warped reading skills that has led you to believe this.

Well I guess you will never get to be VP, so we need not worry that your lack of manners will ever become a national issue.

>I'm not surprised a liberal would think criticism of hypocrisy

>is beyond the pale since so many liberals are hypocrites.

You really should stick to your old tricks of disecting reader's reviews of escorts. You were brilliant doing those. This new curve you're on leaves much to be desired.

> I wonder what press reported this?

It was some asshole from the New York Times.

==During a 2000 Labor Day weekend rally at suburban Naperville, Illinois, George W. Bush forgot the axiom about treating every microphone as a live mike. Upon spotting a veteran political reporter in the crowd and pointing him out to his running mate, Dick Cheney, as the two stood at the podium waving to the assembled crowd, Bush said, "There's Adam Clymer, major-league asshole from The New York Times." Cheney, also unaware the microphones were turned on, agreed, saying, "Oh yeah, he is, big time." ==

We know that Kerry learned that kind of language in Vietnam. But where did Bush learn it -- Harvard Business School?
