Hey there,

There's an article today in the Money section talking about oil supply troubles are causing another spike in crude prices. It states, "Iraqi oil officials shut down the country's southern oil fields after militiamen loyal to rebel cleric Muqtada al-Sadr threatening attacks on targets there."

My question is didn't Bush land on an aircraft carrier and tell us we'd won the war?<wink>

I keep reading how gangs hold control over so many towns in Iraq.

Iraqi south threatens secession

Basra Deputy Governor Salam Uda al-Maliki has said he is to announce the separation of some Iraqi southern governorates from the central Baghdad government.

Informed sources told Aljazeera that al-Maliki said the breakaway province would include Basra, Misan and Dhi Qar governorates.

He also wants to shut Basra's port and in effect stop oil exports.

^^^^ The above was from Aljazeera. Wait til they cut off all the oil!

Bush's banner should have read : "Nothing Accomplished" ^^^^^
