I know this forum is for serious, political discourse. However, this is a fun, quick little quiz to see where you actually "fall" on the map of political philosiphy.

This quiz was also mentioned in a Washington Post article:

And where did I fall? According to this quiz I am a Centrist.

According to the quiz:

Centrists favor selective government intervention and emphasize practical solutions to current problems. They tend to keep an open mind on new issues. Many centrists feel that government serves as a check on excessive liberty.

The expanded version is fun, too, but it could use an update. In it's current time frame, Clinton/Lewinsky is "recently" and there is no current war, probably pre 911. I edged just over the line from liberal to libertarian. Which I'm not so sure. I think I should have wound up just on the liberal side of that line. Probably weighted something wrong.

I had a problem with some of the questions:

"Government should not control radio, TV, the press or the Internet." Does that mean controlling content or regulating to stop someone from monopolizing the airwaves? Do I have to answer "maybe"?

"Businesses and farms should operate without govt. subsidies." I think the problem with subsidies is that almost all of it goes to big agribusinesses who don't need it, and very little goes to small family farms who do. So how do I answer this? Again a "maybe"? That's so wishy-washy.
