Sarah Ferguson and Princess Diana were once arrested for impersonating police officers.

The Duchess of York – who was previously married to Prince Andrew – has revealed that she and the late princess were both arrested during a bachelorette party in the mid-1980s, when they were dressed in police uniforms.

During an appearance on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’, the duchess recalled: “We went into this nightclub, and the waiter came up to us and said, ‘Excuse me, this is a members club and it’s for fun and we don’t serve police officers here.’ Looking straight at us.”

The duchess and Diana – who died in Paris in August 1997, aged 36 – were arrested for impersonating officers.

However, they were quickly released once the police discovered their true identities.

The duchess continued: “We were then arrested.

“We go in the back of the van, and she had put her engagement ring the other way, and I had put my engagement ring the other way. And we are sitting, like this … and she just looked around and saw smoky bacon-flavoured crisps and started taking them and eating them. And the policeman in the front goes, ‘You can’t do that,’ and then eventually they realised that it was Diana and me.”

The duchess – who was married to Andrew between 1986 and 1996 – also revealed that the princess taught her some important lessons about royal life.

She quipped: “I’d got straight into dinner, because she had been there a few years before me, she used to run like a gazelle to get into the dining room quicker than me. I thought, ‘That’s a bit strange,’ and when I got in, I realised why, because she got the young people and I got all the old people.”

Sir Elton John is planning a huge holiday after wrapping up his farewell tour but is still keen to make new music.

The 75-year-old pop star has been married to David Furnish since 2005 and is due to wrap up his ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road’ tour in July – which was scheduled to run across three years but ended up being stretched out to five because of the COVID-19 pandemic – and teased that another album is on the cards when he quits touring for good.

He is quoted by The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column as saying: “I finish in July and then I am going to go on a vacation with family for two months, and then I am probably going to think about making a record. But I haven’t really thought about who I am going to make it with yet. Now that I have stopped touring, I will have more time.”

The ‘Crocodile Rock’ hitmaker – who has sons Zachary, 12, and 10-year-old Elijah with David – completed the Australian leg of the tour in January and is set to return for a string of shows on home soil from March 23 before going on to Europe and eventually closing out the entire run with a headlining slot at Glastonbury in June.

Brooke Shields “blamed herself” when she was sexually assaulted in Hollywood more than 30 years ago.

The 57-year-old model mistakenly believed she was having a meeting about a part in a movie when she was invited to a hotel room in the 1990s but thought no-one would believe her if she told of the attack and since opening up about the incident in her new Hulu documentary ‘Brooke Shields: Pretty Baby’, explained that it is a “miracle” she survived the trauma.

She told this week’s edition of PEOPLE: “People weren’t believing those stories back then. I thought I would never work again. Doing the documentary, you see it all together, and it’s a miracle that I survived. It’s taken me a long time to process it. I’m more angry now than I was able to be then. If you’re afraid, you’re rightfully so. They are scary situations. They don’t have to be violent to be scary. I thought I was getting a movie job, I didn’t fight, I just froze.

“I kept saying, ‘I shouldn’t have done that. Why did I go up with him? I shouldn’t have had that drink at dinner.'”

The ‘Suddenly Susan’ star – who has daughters Rowan, 16, and 16-year-old Grier with husband Chris Henchy but was initially married to married to tennis champion Andre Agassi from 1997 to 1999 – went on to add that she has always had a “disassociation” with her own sexuality and was able to put herself into a “fight-or-flight” mode after the alleged attack as she admitted it was “easier” to shut off the whole ordeal because of her career.

She added: “It was really easy to disassociate because by then it was old hat. And because it was a fight-or-flight type of choice. Fight was not an option, so you just leave your body. ‘You’re not there. It didn’t happen. It was really easy to disassociate because by then it was old hat,” she recalls. “And because it was a fight-or-flight type of choice. Samantha Ronson thinks it is “great” that her ex-girlfriend Lindsay Lohan is pregnant.

The 45-year-old DJ dated ‘Mean Girls’ actress Lindsay, 36, – who is now married to businessman Bader Shammas- for a short period of time in the late 2000s and has sent her well-wishes to her former girlfriend following the news that she and her husband are expecting.

She told TMZ: “I wish her all the best. It’s always great news when someone is expecting a baby!”

At the time of their split in 2009, Lindsay remarked that she just wanted to “focus on herself” and after returning to acting last year in ‘Falling For Christmas’ after more than a decade away reflected that she and Samantha were ” always more like best friends” than a romantic couple.

On Tuesday, ‘Freaky Friday’ star Lindsay took to Instagram to share a snap of a white baby onesie that reads “coming soon…”

Lindsay captioned the photo: “We are blessed and excited! [prayer, heart and baby emojis] (sic)”

Lil Nas X has apologised to the trans community after being accused of making them the “punchline of a joke”.

The ‘Industry Baby’ hitmaker faced a backlash after he shared a photo of influencer Glow Princess – whose real name is Armanda Tounghui – and jokingly suggested that it was actually a picture of him after “surgery”.

He tweeted: “the surgery was a success [double heart emoji] (sic)”

When fans called out the 23-year-old rapper for making the trans community the “punchline of a joke”, he hit back: “I’m literally just saying she looks like me y’all cannot be f*****’ serious.

And when another fan asked why he “had to mention surgery,” he replied, “because she has t******? are u dense?”

But shortly afterwards, the ‘Old Town Road’ singer – whose real name is Montero Hill – deleted his tweets and issued an apology.

He wrote: “apologies to the trans community i def handled that situation with anger instead of considering why it was not cool. much love to you guys. sorry (sic)”

Nas recently revealed he snubbed an offer to party with Beyonce because he didn’t want to let down his fans.

He said: “I’ve actually been invited to come to one of her’ Renaissance’ parties and that was super dope. think it was on the day of one of the shows and I was like, ‘Do I completely leave my fans stranded and don’t come to the show to see Beyoncé or not?’ but you know I couldn’t. “

However, he is hoping he’ll receive another invitation one day in the future.

He added: “Some time though for sure!”

The rapper went on to heap praise on Beyonce for making bold moves with her album ‘Renaissance’.

He said: “The overall idea of this super duper pop legend, not even, this music legend in general, going into this direction that’s not really mainstream at all. I think that’s just so big of her. It’s liberating.”

A decade and a half after she started making records — first as her Disney Channel alter ego, Hannah Montana, then as herself (or maybe “herself”) — Miley Cyrus on her eighth studio album sounds like a woman looking back at everywhere she’s been, both musically and emotionally, and assessing where all her travels have put her now, newly divorced and having just entered her 30s.

The LP is called “Endless Summer Vacation,” which gets at the coolly euphoric country-disco vibe of a song like “Flowers,” the smash lead single that spent six weeks atop Billboard’s Hot 100 on its way to racking up more than a billion streams. But the true subject of these dozen tunes (plus a bonus-track demo of “Flowers”) is the hard work of introspection and the even harder work of self-reliance.

“I love when you hold me / But loving you is never enough,” she sings in “Wildcard,” the sting of acceptance still fresh in her voice, “Don’t wait for me / ‘Cause forever may never come.”

How to account for the enormous success of “Flowers”? Though she’s never lacked for showbiz visibility — see her recent New Year’s Eve TV special where she sang with Dolly Parton and David Byrne — Cyrus was a long way from her previous No. 1, 2013’s “Wrecking Ball,” when she recorded the winning empowerment jam with Kid Harpoon and Tyler Johnson, the same duo that produced Harry Styles’ Grammy-winning “Harry’s House.” And perhaps their golden touch had something to do with it; perhaps it’s the lyrical and melodic DNA the song shares with Bruno Mars’ chart-topping “When I Was Your Man,” a supposed favorite of Cyrus’ ex-husband actor Liam Hemsworth.

But “Flowers,” which fans have heard as an explicit response to “When I Was Your Man,” also captures this veteran shapeshifter in just the right spot: peeved but amused, shady yet sincere.

Thematically, “Endless Summer Vacation” revolves around Cyrus’ split from Hemsworth; she fondly recalls some of their good times, identifies red flags that arose eventually, ponders the pleasures and the complications of singledom and finally rediscovers a longing for romance. (In addition to Johnson and Kid Harpoon and other established pop pros such as Greg Kurstin, Tobias Jesso Jr. and Mike Will Made It, the singer’s studio collaborators here include her current boyfriend, musician Maxx Morando.)

Stylistically, the songs pull from all over the place. Like the actor she is, Cyrus in the past used each of her albums to explore a single genre: hip-hop on “Bangerz,” psychedelia on “Her Dead Petz,” country music on “Younger Now” — remember that before she was a Disney kid she was the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus — and hard rock on “Plastic Hearts.” Yet “Endless Summer Vacation” jams together bits of all that stuff as she moves through heartbreak to savor the clarity that follows.

What holds the music together is Cyrus’ singing, which stood out easily from the likes of Selena Gomez and the Jonas Brothers in the mid-2000s and which still feels distinct now that she’s competing with SZA and Taylor Swift. In “Jaded” and “Muddy Feet,” she emphasizes the grainy texture in her voice over stomping rock grooves; “Rose Colored Lenses” has her rounding the edges of each phrase with a woozy sensuality. Brandi Carlile shows up to belt alongside Cyrus in the blippy-folky “Thousand Miles,” but she hangs back in the mix, limiting herself to ghostly high harmonies against Cyrus’ low growl.

“River” and “Violet Chemistry” are the album’s most rhythmic cuts, with Cyrus doling out quick staccato lines amid ravey synths played in part in the latter by James Blake. And “You” is the album’s vocal centrepiece: a saloon-ready retro-soul ballad à la Rihanna’s “Love on the Brain” in which Cyrus channels the yearning of someone gingerly entering a new relationship and that same someone’s reluctance to get hurt again.

Indeed, her singing is vivid enough on “Endless Summer Vacation” to make up for some mushy songwriting here and there: “Fingers start to dance along the figures and the shapes,” goes one line in “Violet Chemistry,” “mixing all the colours like we’re making a Monet.” (Yikes.)

But to get too hung up on a cringey lyric is to miss the point of Miley Cyrus at this phase of her weird, winding, one-of-one career. As she puts it in “Thousand Miles”: “I’m out of my mind / But still I’m holding on like a rolling stone.”

Azealia Banks was once so “broke” she had to sleep in storage space.

The 31-year-old rap star now has an estimated net worth of $3 milllion but admitted there was a time when there was no work coming in for her despite her fame and ended up sleeping rough.

She told Dazed magazine: “There was a point in time when people didn’t want to book me. I had n***** stealing my royalties and all type of s***.

She said: “Everybody makes a bad joke sometimes. Like, who cares? Quentin Tarantino gets paid $500m to make really bad jokes all the time, you know? Come on. Let me get my s*** off!”

Meanwhile, Azealia lost her dad at the age of two to a battle with cancer and was often left wondering if her mother would ever come back following her schizophrenia diagnosis, leaving the future rap star to be raised by caretakers.

She said: “I was raised by Dominican caretakers. My mom would throw them a couple thousand dollars and just disappear for five weeks. I would just be in my head, like, ‘Does my mother not want me anymore? Is she coming back? Is she alive?’ She would brag about how she did witchcraft and killed my father!”

Diplo has “got a b*** job from a guy” before but doesn’t think it is “that gay”.

Emily, 31, the asked if TikTok is why Diplo knows he isn’t completely heterosexual.

He replied: “Maybe. The wood-chopping guy is kinda sexy. They’re hot guys, but I don’t know if that’s gonna be the thing that’s gonna set me over into the gay side, totally, is the wood-choppers, but they’re pretty hot guys.”

He then described himself as “more of a vibe guy” than being concerned about a person’s gender, and he’s reflected on how “fluid” younger men seem to be now than when he was growing up.

He said: “Men that are younger than me, and I meet a lot in the scene, they’re very fluid. It never was like that when I was in high school.

“There was definitely like, you had gay kids in school, and you had gay cousins or whatever. It was different than it is now.

“We knew that there was gay kids in middle school, but high school, there was always a small gay community at every school.

“When everybody was coming out, like ‘Doss is gay,’ all these artists were gay, I felt like it wasn’t crazy.

“It’s just weird how the temperature of our culture changed so much, but I thought it was never weird to be gay.”

Tilda Swinton has refused to adhere to COVID-19 protocols on the set of her new movie.

The 62-year-old actress had been told to wear a mask “at all times” whilst on the set of her upcoming motion picture – which is set to begin shooting in Ireland within the coming months – but refused to do so as she insisted she is “very healthy” despite having contracted the virus multiple times.

Speaking as part of her keynote speech at the SXSW Film and TV Festival on Monday (13.03.23), she said: “I’m about to shoot a picture in Ireland, and I was told to wear a mask at all times, and I’m not. I’m sure this is being recorded. I’ve had COVID-19 multiple times so I’m full of antibodies and very healthy.”

In 2022, the Academy Award-winning actress explained that while she had got off “relatively lightly” with the virus, she still suffered from vertigo and noticed a mental decline as she struggled to learn her lines for various projects.

She said: “I was coughing like an old gentleman who smoked a pipe for 70 years, and had nasty vertigo. I got off relatively lightly, but the worst thing is how it affected my brain. I did two films that I had to learn a lot of text for. I’m normally quite quick at studying, and picking stuff up, but this was like chewing a really big piece of gum. I couldn’t remember my lines. WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. President Joe Biden on Tuesday issued an executive order aimed at expanding background checks for gun purchases to bring down mass shootings in the country.

Biden also asked Congress to take additional action to reduce gun violence and urged the Federal Trade Commission to issue a public report analyzing how gun manufacturers market firearms to minors, according to the order released by the White House

Jamie Lee Curtis has tearfully told how she has decided to call her Oscar trophy “they/them” in honour of her transgender daughter Ruby.

The ‘Halloween’ actress, 64, scooped Best Supporting Actress for her role in the multi-Oscar winning ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ during Sunday’s (12.03.23) 95th Academy Awards, and started sobbing during a video link appearance on the ‘Today’ show on Tuesday (14.03.23) while watching her acceptance speech back for the first time.

She wiped away tears as she told hosts Savannah Guthrie, 51, and Hoda Kotb, 58, after the footage of her emotion-filled moment of victory was played: “I hadn’t watched that. So, that was the first time I’ve seen it.”

Jamie – who has adopted daughters Ruby, 27, and Annie, 36, with her 75-year-old husband Christopher Guest – added as she held up her Oscars statue and declared it was non-binary: “Here they are! In support of my daughter Ruby, I’m having them be a they/them. I’m just going to call them ‘them’ – they/them. And they are doing great. They are settling in.”

Jamie first revealed Ruby was transgender in 2021, and told AARP magazine she and Christopher had “watched in wonder and pride as our son became our daughter Ruby’.

Jamie also said after Sunday’s Oscars about having gender-neutral awards categories, and the inclusivity challenges that would come with the move: “Obviously I would like to see a lot more women be nominated so that there’s gender parity in all the areas and all the branches, and I think we’re getting there.

“We’re not anywhere near there. And of course, the inclusivity then that involves the bigger question, which is, how do you include everyone when there are binary choices, which is very difficult.

“As the mother of a trans daughter I completely understand that.”

Jamie also warned: “And yet, to de-gender the category, also, I’m concerned (that) will diminish the opportunities for more women, which is something I also have been working hard to try to promote.

“So it’s a complicated question, but I think the most important thing is inclusivity and more women.”

Blac Chyna has vowed to dissolve her face filler as part of her dramatic make-under.

The 34-year-old model and reality TV star, who rose to fame as Nicki Minaj’s stunt double in the music video for the rapper’s ‘Monster’ hit, also said she was going to stop using “long stiletto nails” after she shocked fans by last week toning down her trademark curves with a breast and bum reduction.

She told of her intentions to make her beauty regime even plainer when a fan commented on her most recent Instagram posts, saying: “Please get some face filler dissolved too… you don’t need it and would look 10x more beautiful without it.”

The socialite, who has had a huge range of cosmetic surgeries including four breast surgeries, liposuction, and a silicone backside enlargement when she was 19, posted a series of videos to Instagram documenting her surgeries.

She said: “I just want all the ladies out there to know: do not get silicone shots because you can get sick, you can die, have complications and all this other crazy stuff.

“I’m past that stage. Been there, done that. I’m passing the baton to the younger ladies.”

She added she was heading into “a different way” in her life and captioned her post: “I want you all to be a part of my life changing journey. I reduced my breasts and gluteus maximus.

“You all have the power to heal your life, and you need to know that.”

Her final video in the series about her surgeries showed her lying in bed in a darkened room covered in bandages, and said she was a few days into recovering from her make-under.

Blac added about her latest procedures: “I must say I am very very very happy.

“I’m in recovery mode. I’ve got my bandages on… also I got the reduction in my butt. Normally my procedure would have taken four hours tops.

“My procedure took over eight and a half hours, y’all. Whatever that silicone mass in my buttocks kept clogging the machine and breaking the machine.”

Blac recently said she was deactivating her OnlyFans account – said to have made her $240 million after she offered a subscription for $450 a year – because of her kids.

Julia Garner has her “fingers crossed” that the Madonna biopic will happen.

The ‘Ozark’ star is set to play the ‘Material Girl’ hitmaker on the big screen and is still hopeful that the project will come to fruition despite being shelved for the time being as the pop icon embarks on her ‘Celebration’ world tour.

Julia, 29, told Entertainment Tonight at the Vanity Fair Oscars party on Sunday (12.03.23): “Yeah, yeah. I don’t want to tell too much. I want to keep things… yeah, fingers crossed.”

Madonna is set to direct her own biopic and the Queen of Pop believes that she is the only person who can do justice to her own story.

The 64-year-old singer said: “I’ve had an extraordinary life, I must make an extraordinary film.

“It was also a pre-emptive strike, because a lot of people were trying to make movies about me. Mostly misogynistic men. So, I put my foot in the door and said, ‘No one’s going to tell my story but me.’

“I have a very long script that is really hard for me to make shorter. I’ve been whittling away at it, but it’s like hacking off my limbs.”

Madonna has previously opened up about the “draining” experience of writing a script that covers her childhood in Michigan to global superstardom.

The ‘Like a Prayer’ singer said: “Writing my script is the most draining, challenging experience I’ve ever had.

“It’s kind of like psychotherapy in a way, because I have to remember every detail from my childhood till now.

“Remembering all the things that made me decide to be who I am, my journey as an artist, my decision to leave Michigan to go to New York, all the things that happened to me when I was young and naive, my relationships with my family and friends, watching many of my friends die.”

Lady Gaga wanted people to see the “real” version of herself when she went without makeup at the Oscars.

The 36-year-old pop icon – who is known for wearing extravagant costumes and makeup – appeared at the annual awards ceremony on Sunday (12.03.23) to give a stripped-back performance of ‘Hold My Hand’ from ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ and according to producer Ricky Kirshner, was so busy shooting ‘Joker: Folie: A Deux’ that she “didn’t have time” to do anything grand before hitting the stage bare-faced.

He told The Hollywood Reporter: “We’ve built up trust in the relationship with Gaga over the years — I did the Super Bowl with her and Glenn has done many awards shows with her, including the ‘Shallow’ performance on the Oscars.

“She really wanted to do something. She honestly was shooting her movie [the ‘Joker’ sequel] — there was no trickery involved. And Thursday, at four-something, we got a text that she wanted to try something, didn’t have time to put together a big performance, but wanted it to be raw and people to see the real Gaga, and, with a voice like that, you don’t need much more than that.”

Ricky added that part of his job is “going with the flow” as he recalled that it was touch-and-go whether the ‘Poker Face’ hitmaker would even be able to perform at all.

He said: “We’re doing the show for the people in the room and the people watching at home. Some people make it and some don’t. Glenn honestly said on Wednesday [during a preshow press conference] that Gaga wouldn’t perform, and then on Thursday and Friday that changed. We just go with the flow and produce the show for the people that are there and the people that we’re working with.”
